Meaningful Learning Opportunities
Meeting the Unique Needs of Students with Disabilities
At Clear Creek Independent School District, special education services are specially designed to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. Starting in pre-Kindergarten, children showing signs of learning difficulties or disability are provided meaningful learning opportunities in accordance with state, federal, and local policies.
In addition, Clear Creek ISD offers a variety of programs that provide services in a special education setting. Typically, students placed in these settings require a highly structured environment and intensive instruction in specific areas. Programs focus on a wide variety of disabilities including alternative academic for cognitive disabilities, educational services for students having difficulty managing behavior, and social development services for students with significant emotional and behavioral disabilities. Structured Learning Labs are offered to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Understanding learning is a continuous need for students, Clear Creek ISD offers a campus-based 18+ service model and community-based model, as well as our HEARTS and ACES transition services for adult students with disabilities.
Special education services are provided at all Clear Creek ISD campuses and offer a continuum of special education services and placement options for students with disabilities in order to meet their individual needs. This continuum includes services such as advance support, accommodations and modifications, in-class support, specialized support, home instruction and instruction in hospitals and institutions.
